Hammies U15 Hurlers travelled to Kilbrittain to take on local rivals Kinsale in the Munster Final. Hammies started well with an early goal from Tadgh Kelly. Kinsale took the upper hand with a strong wind at their back, although Alex White hit the net from a penalty to make the half time score Hammies 2-2 to Kinsale 1-12. Kinsale got a great start to second half with a goal, but Hammies never gave up and never panicked, and continued to fight with some outstanding scores from Alex White and superb defending led by Russell Crowley, Rory Murphy, Ciarán Guinane and Seán Evans. Alex White scored a great free to level the game and captain Sam Molumphy got the winning point in the dying moments of the game, to show a superb Hammies comeback and become Munster Champions, on a scoreline of Hammies 2-17 to Kinsale 2-16. Well done lads on an outstanding achievement and some great fight shown all through the year.
