Well done to our U16 Hurlers who have been crowned hurling champions after defeating Mallow today in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Hammies started the first half well with goals from Jack Allen and Donal McSweeney and at half time were ahead 2.8 to 10 points. In the second half Hammies pushed on and with goals from Jack Allen and Cillian Madden won the game on a scoreline of 4.17 to 15 points. The group had great wins against Clonakilty, Kanturk and Mitchelstown on the way to the final. This is the 2nd year in a row Hammies have won this competition and we hope to see these lads representing Hammies Senior Hurlers going forward.
