At Hamilton High School we believe that our activites outside the classroom are as important as our endeavours inside of it and as such we strive to offer educational trips and worthwhile experiences to all of our students throughout their time at Hamilton High School.
Some of these trips include but are not limited to:-
Second Year Gaeltacht Trip
In Second year , students travel to Corca Dhuibhne in Kerry, where they immerse themselves in Irish language and culture. This experience allows pupils to develop confidence in speaking Irish in an authentic setting while enjoying a range of activities . The Gaeltacht trip is an opportunity to bring classroom learning to life and deepen students’ appreciation of Ireland’s language and traditions. The students are afforded the opportunity to travel down and stay in houses with the Bean an Tí and attend Irish language classes as well as engaging in evening activities all run through the medium of Irish.
Transition Year French Trip
In Transition Year, students have the opportunity to travel to France as part of our language immersion programme. Through everyday conversation, cultural experiences and exploring life beyond the classroom, students build confidence in their language skills while gaining a greater understanding of French culture. It is an enriching experience that combines education, independence and discovery.
Transition Year Foreign Trip
Hamilton High School has a long standing tradition of brining Transition year students on educational tours to Europe. Over the years the students have visited places such as Barcelona, Amsterdam and Belgium.
Various departments and year groups will also head on other educational trips throughout the school year!
